Planning Section Head ( Water Treatment)

  • Lead the planning and scheduling activities for water treatment projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project timelines.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor detailed project plans, resource allocation, and workflow processes for the water treatment section.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, procurement, and other departments to ensure seamless project execution and timely delivery.
  • Analyze project progress, identify potential risks or bottlenecks, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project schedules.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, project schedules, and resource plans in compliance with industry standards.
  • Mentor and supervise planning team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout all planning and execution phases.
  • Manage change requests, scope adjustments, and project variations, ensuring effective communication and documentation.
  • Support the development and implementation of best practices, tools, and methodologies for project planning and control.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.Minimum of 4 years and up to 7 years of relevant experience in planning, preferably within the water treatment or utilities sector.Proven experience in leading planning teams or sections in a fast-paced, operational environment.Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, planning tools, and scheduling software (such as Primavera P6 or MS Project).Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.Experience in preparing and presenting reports to senior management.Familiarity with safety, quality, and environmental regulations relevant to water treatment projects.Ability to work on-site (office-based arrangement) and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
