- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits, liaising with external auditors as required.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and financial controls.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data, producing financial reports and statements for management review.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing detailed variance analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist with regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and special projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years and up to 6 years of progressive accounting experience.Proven experience in a senior accounting or similar role, preferably within the health, wellness, or service industry.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an on-site environment.
