Social Media Specialist

  • Develop, implement, and manage HU’s social media strategies across various platforms to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create, curate, and schedule compelling content (text, images, video) that aligns with the university’s mission and values.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics to optimize campaigns and inform future strategies.
  • Engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and foster a positive online community around sustainable development topics.
  • Collaborate with academic departments, marketing, and external partners to promote events, initiatives, and achievements.
  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure HU remains at the forefront of digital communication.
  • Support the planning and execution of paid social media campaigns to reach targeted audiences.
  • Manage social media calendars and ensure timely delivery of content in line with university objectives.
  • Assist in crisis communication and reputation management on digital platforms.
  • Coordinate with graphic designers, videographers, and other content creators to produce high-quality multimedia assets.
  • Manage social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn).

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.1-3 years of proven experience in social media management or digital marketing.Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.Demonstrated ability to create engaging content tailored to different audiences.Experience with social media analytics tools and reporting.Creative mindset with attention to detail and a passion for storytelling.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.Familiarity with sustainable development concepts is a plus.Creative content writing and marketing skills. Proficient in scheduling and analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite. Basic design skills using tools like Canva or Photoshop are preferred.
