- ● Lead, manage, and support the Humanities Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across subjects such as History, Geography, Social Studies, and related disciplines.
- ● Develop, implement, and regularly review the humanities curriculum in alignment with American educational standards.
- ● Mentor, coach, and evaluate humanities teachers, fostering professional growth and promoting best instructional practices.
- ● Coordinate departmental meetings, facilitate collaboration, and encourage innovative teaching methodologies.
- ● Monitor student progress and achievement, analyzing data to inform instructional improvements and interventions.
- ● Organize and oversee extracurricular activities, events, and projects related to the humanities.
- ● Collaborate with school leadership to set departmental goals and contribute to the overall strategic vision of the school.
- ● Ensure effective communication with parents, students, and staff regarding departmental initiatives and student performance.
- ● Manage departmental resources, including budgeting, procurement, and allocation of teaching materials.
- ● Promote a culture of inclusivity, respect, and academic curiosity within the department and the wider school community.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related field.Minimum of 2 years and up to 5 years of relevant teaching or departmental leadership experience.Strong understanding of American curriculum frameworks.Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of educators.Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership.Ability to analyze student data and implement effective interventions.Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.Experience organizing extracurricular activities and departmental events.Willingness to work onsite in a full-time, long-term capacity.
