- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies in alignment with hospital needs and budget.
- Ensure the timely procurement of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, consumables, and general supplies.
- Identify, assess, and maintain relationships with qualified suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to achieve cost-effective purchasing.
- Coordinate with various departments (pharmacy, nursing, maintenance, finance, etc.) to forecast and fulfil supply needs.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Review and approve purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and hospital-specific regulations in purchasing processes.
- Track supplier performance (quality, delivery times, service) and take corrective actions when needed.
- Prepare reports and purchasing metrics for senior management.
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (PharmD or B.Pharm) – mandatory.Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is essential.Certifications (Preferred):Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Hospital ManagementERP or inventory system trainingExcellent negotiation and vendor management skillsStrong organisational and planning abilitiesAnalytical thinking and decision-makingHigh level of integrity and attention to detailAbility to work under pressure and manage urgent supply needsFluency in Arabic – requiredGood proficiency in English – written and spoken
