HSE Specialist

  • Ensure all works are carried out based on established safety and health policies, statements, procedures and specifications.
  • Introduce and enhance safety standards at site for protecting company personal and equipment from injury and damage.
  • Assist in the development of tendering documents such as but not limited to HSE plans, CESMP, EIA, traffic management plan, mobilization plan, and temporary works plan and emergency evacuation plan. 
  • Perform all duties assigned by the Safety Manager or Project Manager.
  • Follow company & international safety policies, procedures and plans.
  • Involve in daily inspection of site to identify potential hazards to health and safety as well as submission of reports to the Safety Manager (HSE).
  • To take full safety supervisor’s responsibilities and prepare weekly and monthly safety reports.
  • Identify all hazards and reduce their severity.
  • To carry out continuous risk assessment and implement at site.
  • To check all type of safety based on OSHA standards also.
  • To help workers from potentially hazards work methods, processes or materials.
  • Develop and initiate methods for site inspections, testing and evaluation.
  • Supervise all safety tasks ensuring compliance with all requirements and regulations.
  • To carry out TBT Tool Box Talk every day before initiating the work.
  • Help field personal acquire necessary training / skills by conducting training.
  • Assesses level of readiness, formulation suggested departmental goals and strategies. 
  • Leads and supports safety efforts to continuously improve overall safety culture. 
  • Participate in site safety meetings with contractors and project manager.
  • Works with project teams for implementing site safety plan.
  • Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, codes.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging construction practices and standards
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Assist in health and safety programs, complete documentation and application required by statutory requirements at work site.
  • Any other tasks related to the job assigned by the direct manager
  • Candidate will be report to Safety Manager and manage with foreign workers on site related issues.

 


Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in HSE, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering or any related fieldMinimum Experience: 3+ years of experience in a related fieldTraining and Certifications: HSE, OSHA, IOSH & NEBOSH certificatesLanguages: English, ArabicAbility to manage multiple tasks, organize priorities, and meet deadlinesVery good attention to detailsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillDecision making skillsTime and project managementGood knowledge in Microsoft OfficeFollow up and monitoring skillsAnalytical and problem solving skills
