- Perform hydraulic calculations for fire-fighting systems (e.g., sprinkler, foam, deluge).
- Develop 3D system layouts using AutoCAD Plant 3D / AutoCAD MEP.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, material take-offs, and datasheets.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure design integration.
- Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and vendor documents.
- Participate in technical reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOP studies when required.
- Ensure all designs comply with NFPA, API, and client-specific standards.
- Support procurement by preparing technical requisitions and reviewing vendor offers.
- Collaborate with site engineers during construction and testing phases.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.4–6 years of experience in fire-fighting system design, specifically in oil & gas projects.Proficiency in hydraulic calculation software (e.g., Elite Fire, HASS, or similar).Advanced user of AutoCAD 3D / Plant 3D for fire system modeling.Strong knowledge of NFPA, API, and local fire protection codes.Familiar with project lifecycle phases in EPC environments.
