International Sales Specialist

Slamtex - Egypt - Cairo

We are looking for an experienced International Sales Specialist to join our fast-growing international textile business. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of international trade, including developing new export markets, managing existing customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with all regulations and laws. The International Sales Specialist will be expected to have an in-depth knowledge of global trade and a keen eye for detail. They must be highly organized and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. If you have a passion for international trade and the drive to succeed, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement export strategies to maximize profits and minimize costs
  2. Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
  3. Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media
  4. Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services
  5. Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data
  6. Review the available stock weekly with the warehouse team in order to sell the idle stock
  7. Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences
  8. Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections
  9. Coordinate with team members to deliver goods on time and satisfy the customer requirements
  10. Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams
  11. Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts
  12. Liaise with the sampling room to prepare sales catalogues
  13. Do costings in order to achieve required prices 
  14. Oversee the preparation of export documentation such as invoices, packing lists and bills of lading
  15. Establish and manage relationships with international partners, including distributors, agents and vendors
  16. Monitor international regulations and compliance requirements
  17. Develop and maintain export databases, records and reports
  18. Address customer inquiries and complaints
  19. Seek out and manage new opportunities such as trade and networking events
  20. Coordinate client visits and sales trips
  21. Review pending orders and specific customers requests to ensure excellent customer service and customer experience

RequirementsProven experience in sales or in a relevant role• Excellent knowledge of market data and dynamics• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills• Ability to travel abroad to meet with clients and develop business relationshipsExcellent knowledge of MS OfficeHands-on experience with ERP system is a plusThorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniquesFast learner and passion for salesSelf-motivated with a results-driven approach
