IT Technical Support - In-House

 

  • Help set up systems or resolve issues with staff computers, laptops and printers
  • Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
  • Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Set up accounts and workstations
  • Replacing parts/ equipment as required
  • Install and configure software and hardware
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports
  • Manage Dell servers and switches
  • Administer FortiGate firewalls and network security measures.
  • Manage Digital Ocean cloud infrastructure
  • Deploy and manage Ruckus Wi-Fi infrastructure.
  • Oversee and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and wireless networks
  • Monitor system performance and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain IT infrastructure documentation.
  • Stay updated on relevant IT trends and technologies.
  • Design IT systems and network
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Implement DevOps practices to optimize IT operations.

BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant field2-5 Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician or similar roleHands-on experience configuring and managing FortiGATE firewalls.Experience deploying and managing Ruckus Wi-Fi solutions.Solid understanding of networking principles Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech productsAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issuesFamiliarity with remote desktop applications and help desk softwareExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbalAdditional certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is a plusStrong background and understanding of DevOps principles and practices is preferredPractical experience with Digital Ocean cloud platform administration is a plus.
