Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
- Maintain and reconcile financial data for localization projects, vendor payments, and client invoicing.
- Support compliance with GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, audit reports, and regulatory filings.
- Financial Data Analysis & Cost Management:
- Analyze project-based financial data to ensure cost efficiency and profitability.
- Track costs related to freelance translators, linguists, software, and operational expenses.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in localization workflows, vendor contracts, and technology usage.
- Monitor budget variances and provide insights for cost optimization.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in annual budget preparation, cost forecasts, and financial planning.
- Provide financial insights to help set pricing strategies and service rates.
- Evaluate financial risks related to currency fluctuations and international transactions.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:
- Oversee vendor payments, client invoicing, and reconciliation of accounts.
- Ensure timely processing of payments to subcontractors and localization partners.
- Work with finance and operations teams to streamline payment workflows and minimize financial risks.
Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA preferred).3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in service-based industries like localization, media, or technology.Strong understanding of financial data analysis, budgeting, and reporting.Proficiency in Excel, accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP), and ERP systems.Experience with multi-currency transactions and international financial regulations.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in translation/localization industry finance.Familiarity with TMS platforms, freelancer cost structures, and service pricing models.Knowledge of hourly, per-word, and subscription-based pricing in the localization industry.
