Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to take complete ownership of our technology department. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience leading tech teams, a strong background in e-commerce application development, and a track record of building and scaling technology functions. Your role will involve ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable, and secure e-commerce solutions that cater specifically to international e-commerce brands entering the MENA market.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

• Define and execute the technology vision and roadmap in alignment with SellAbroad’s strategic goals.
• Own the tech department as a complete function, managing all aspects of technology from infrastructure to security.

Team Building & Management:

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing technology team.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Product Development & Integration:

• Oversee the development and continuous improvement of e-commerce applications ensuring they are robust, scalable, and secure.
• Integrate with leading e-commerce platforms, such as Shopify, to streamline operations for our clients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate local payment methods and advanced AI sales tools effectively.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with the executive team to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
• Engage with external partners and vendors to bring in cutting-edge technologies and maintain a competitive advantage.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure SellAbroad remains at the forefront of e-commerce innovation.
• Champion best practices in software development, data security, and quality assurance.
