Finance Manager

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager makes high-level decisions regarding a business’s health, leaving details for the finance and accounting departments. 

The Finance Manager provides both operational and programmatic support to the company as he supervises the financial aspects of the company by assisting in setting all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to long term planning, budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding beside controlling and best utilization of the company’s resources.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Make sound investment decisions to increase a company’s portfolio
  • Prepare and outline complex models into simple terms that others can work with
  • Monitor the performance of investments including creating reports using business software
  • Analyze trends to reduce financial risks associated with making investment or spending decisions
  • Have a strong understanding of fiscal policy and investment regulations
  • Create usable budgets for the business, including evaluating the needs of each department in the long term
  • Offer advice to the MD and CEO regarding spending and budget questions
  • Hire and oversee leaders in the finance and accounting departments, including giving directions and delivering periodical evaluations.
  • Participate in developing new business, specifically: contribute with  the Managing Director in identifying new business opportunities, the drafting of prospective programmatic budgets, and determining cost effectiveness of prospective service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the company.
  •  Oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors ensuring all legal and governmental instructions are met, and supervise the preparation of the annual financial statements is in accordance with Egyptian GAAP, tax law and other required supplementary schedules and information.
  • Monitor banking activities of the company. 
  • Ensure adequate cash flow to meet the company’s needs. 
  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and ensure a disaster recovery plan is in place.
  • Oversee business insurance plans and health care coverage analysis. 
  • Oversee the maintenance of the inventory of all fixed assets.

Required proven experience as a Finance Manager of at least 5 years.Minimum total 15 years of experience in finance and accounting.Post graduate studies and /or certifications are must.Experience in retail business is mandatory.Excellent leadership skills.
