Technology Director

Job Summary:

Responsible for leading the technological vision and strategy of the educational eLearning Institute. This role oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of learning management systems (LMS), digital learning platforms, AI-driven education tools, and software applications that enhance the student and educator experience.

The Director ensures that the institute stays at the forefront of EdTech innovation, driving software development, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and emerging technology adoption to support seamless online education and digital transformation initiatives.

 

2. Key Responsibilities:

A. Technology Strategy & Digital Transformation

  • Develop and implement a long-term technology roadmap to enhance eLearning platforms.
  • Lead the adoption of AI, machine learning, and automation in personalized learning solutions.
  • Oversee the integration of virtual classrooms, interactive learning tools, and mobile applications.
  • Ensure scalability, security, and performance of digital education platforms.
  • Identify emerging EdTech trends and recommend innovations for future growth.

B. Software Development & IT Infrastructure

  • Lead and manage in-house software development teams and external vendors.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of custom eLearning applications, LMS, and student management systems.
  • Optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and uptime of platforms.
  • Maintain cybersecurity measures, data privacy and risk management policies.
  • Develop API integrations between LMS, CRM, and analytics platforms.

C. Product Development & User Experience (UX)

  • Drive the development of user-friendly interfaces and seamless digital learning experiences.
  • Implement AI-powered recommendations, adaptive learning technologies, and gamification to enhance engagement.
  • Work with educators, instructional designers, and content creators to align technology with curriculum needs.
  • Ensure cross-platform compatibility (desktop, mobile, tablets, VR/AR devices).

D. IT Operations & Cloud Solutions

  • Oversee cloud-based solutions  for hosting eLearning platforms.
  • Ensure efficient server management, data storage, and backup solutions.

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.MBA or leadership certification (preferred but not mandatory).Experience:10+ years in IT/software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Strong background in LMS development Experience in AI-driven learning technologies, cloud computing, and cybersecurity
