Job Summary:
As an Electrical Site Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all electrical aspects of construction projects. This role involves ensuring the successful implementation of electrical systems, adhering to safety standards, managing subcontractors, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver high-quality results within budget and schedule.
Responsibilities:
1. Electrical System Design: Design and develop electrical systems for facilities, including lighting, power distribution, and safety systems, in compliance with project requirements and regulations.
2. Project Management: Coordinate with project managers, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems into overall project plans. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure timely completion.
3. Installation Supervision: Oversee the installation of electrical systems, equipment, and components on-site. and ensure adherence to design specifications and safety protocols.
4. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to verify the performance and compliance of electrical installations. Address any deficiencies or deviations from standards promptly to maintain project quality.
5. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues that arise during construction, including troubleshooting electrical systems, analyzing root causes, and implementing effective solutions to minimize project delays.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all electrical work meets relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in electrical engineering to ensure compliance and innovation.
7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of electrical drawings, specifications, approvals, and project documentation. Prepare regular progress reports, cost estimates, and project updates.
8. Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets for electrical work. Identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate with suppliers, and optimize resource allocation to maximize project efficiency.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.4 to 6 working years’ experience as a sit electrical Engineer.Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards. Capable of reading drawings and schematics.Previous experience in electrical engineering, preferably in construction or related industries.
