We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Steel Structure Estimation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel structure estimation, engineering design, and cost management. You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing detailed quantity take-offs, and collaborating with engineering and project management teams to ensure the timely delivery of cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates for steel structure projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and scope of work to understand the full requirements of the project.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and material requirements calculations from design documents.
- Prepare and submit cost proposals, including breakdowns of labor, materials, equipment, and overheads, for bidding purposes.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to gather pricing information and negotiate terms
- Review and assess tender documents, proposals, and subcontractor quotes.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to clarify project requirements and specifications.
- Perform quantity take-offs and assess project risks to identify areas for cost optimization.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients and assist with contract negotiations.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to discuss and clarify project requirements, scope changes, and budget constraints.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates and related documents.
- Track the project’s costs during execution and compare them with the initial estimates, preparing any necessary cost reports or adjustments.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience in steel structure estimation and cost analysis (minimum 3-5 years).Strong knowledge of steel materials, fabrication, and construction processes.Proficient in estimation software (e.g.,Tekla, AutoCAD, Office & MS Project ).Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Very good English speaking and writing.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
