Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in fiber optic products and low current passive infrastructure. You will play a key role in the design, and installation instructions of fiber optic network products and low current passive infrastructure, ensuring their efficient operation and integration with other infrastructure items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design: Design and review fiber optic networks and, low current passive infrastructure with optimum solution and product selection
- Project Management Support: Support the project management team in executing fiber and low current-related projects.
- Site Surveys & Planning: Conduct site surveys to assess infrastructure requirements, and provide technical input on network designs and system setups.
- Customer Support: Provide technical support to clients on the design and selection of fiber optic products and low current passive infrastructure requirements
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations while performing all duties.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining fiber optic and low current passive infrastructure.Solid understanding of fiber optic cables, connectors, splicing, and testing equipment.Knowledge of low current systems such as CCTV, fire alarms, access control, PA systems, and related technologies.Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for fiber optic and low-current installations.Experience with network design, system integration, and troubleshooting.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Willingness to travel for site survey visits, design decisions, and installation guidance, as required. Preferred Qualifications:Certification in fiber optic installation (e.g., FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician).Knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure standards and regulations in Africa and the Middle East.Experience working with large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.
