- Design and develop firefighting systems, including sprinklers, spray, Standpipe, Foam, and hydrants, systems, ensuring compliance with local and international codes and standards.
- Plan and design plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sewage systems, for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Prepares and reviews detailed design drawings, shop drawings, calculations, composite drawings, and as-built drawings using CAD software (with drafter’s support).
- Prepare detailed engineering specifications.
- Preparing the technical submittals and negotiating the same with the client.
- Prepares and reviews material quantity estimates.
- Conduct hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing for fire protection and plumbing systems.
- Perform site inspections and provide technical support during the construction phase.
- Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings.
- Ensure all designs meet safety, performance, and sustainability standards.
- Stay updated with the latest engineering standards, technologies, and regulations.
- Study the received documents containing technical specifications carefully, get an idea of the type and volume of the working operation, project, or tender, and the required delivery date, and make a work study and a technical offer suitable for competition.
- Prepare RFI and send it to the project consultant to obtain missing information and resolve all conflicts
- Utilize BIM and Revit Modeling for mechanical designs.
- Responsible for Coordination between Project Manager & Engineering Discipline (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical & Process).
- Prepares technical proposals by reviewing tender documents/ drawings preparing technical offers & putting estimating costs by coordinating with vendors/subcontractors, offers evaluation, vendors/subcontractors negotiations, and BOQ/Financial offer preparation to ensure the lowest prices.
- Preparing clarification issues to be sent to the client for the missing, contradicting, and confusing issues related to the tender/opportunity requirements.
Bachelor of Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.5 years of experience in a similar role.Awareness of firefighting and plumbing design concepts.Good awareness of relative codes and standards (NFPA, IPC, UPC,)Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Hydraulic calculation software (PIPENET & Elite)Good knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) standards, MEP systems design, and creating Revit families and templates.Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
