ESRI ArcGIS & Schneider Electric ArcFM Administrator

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Core Expertise:

  • Install, configure, and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, and ArcFM.
  • Install, configure, and manage Schneider Electric ArcFM Suite (ArcFM Desktop, ArcFM Server, ArcFM Web, ArcFM Mobile).
  • Manage ArcGIS Server services, web maps, and feature layers.
  • Ensure system performance, high availability, and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Apply patches, updates, and upgrades to ArcGIS software and extensions.
  • Apply ArcFM software updates, patches, and version upgrades.
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and security settings in ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcFM.
  • Possess knowledge or have hands-on in implementing Active Directory authentication and Single Sign-On (SSO) integration.
  • Support integration of GIS with other enterprise applications (SAP, ERP, CRM, BI tools).
  • Work with APIs (REST, Python/ArcPy, JavaScript, and Geoprocessing Services) to automate workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of polygon data and geoprocessing tools

 

Technical Skills:

  • Experience in Windows environment for system monitoring and script execution is a must.
  • Administer ArcFM Geodatabase (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
  • Should have strong hands-on experience of Oracle SQL & PL/SQL for querying and managing data.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IIS web servers on Windows Server environments.

Operational Skills:

  • Provide technical support for GIS users and troubleshoot software-related issues.
  • Address alerts and incidents related to GIS platform.
  • Monitor system logs and troubleshoot ArcGIS & ArcFM Server performance issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve IIS-related errors (503 Service Unavailable, 500 Internal Server Error, Slow Response Times, SSL Issues, Authentication Failures, etc.)
  • Schedule regular backups of IIS configurations and web applications.
  • Plan and implement disaster recovery (DR) strategies for IIS-hosted applications.
  • Apply IIS updates, security patches, and Windows Server hardening.
  • Identify and resolve data synchronization, service failures, and connection issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of processes, workflows, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Use monitoring tools to track system health and data integrity.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
  • Should be aware of ITSM processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
