Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Estimation Engineer specializing in building finishing works for both residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying and material cost estimation, with a proven track record of managing interior and exterior finishing works. This role requires a meticulous professional with a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in similar projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Quantity Surveying:
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs from project drawings and specifications.
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for finishing works, including material and labor requirements.
- Cost Estimation:
- Analyze project requirements to provide precise material cost estimates.
- Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost efficiency and compliance with project specifications.
- Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns for all finishing work elements.
Project Collaboration:
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to ensure alignment on finishing work scopes and specifications.
- Provide technical advice and support during the design and execution phases to optimize costs without compromising quality.
Market Analysis:
- Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and availability of finishing materials.
- Recommend cost-saving strategies while maintaining project standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and present cost estimation reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure all cost data is documented and maintained for future reference.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all finishing works align with industry standards and project requirements.
- Conduct periodic checks to validate the accuracy of BOQs and cost estimates.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years in cost estimation and quantity surveying, specifically for interior and exterior finishing works on residential and commercial projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in cost estimation software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, or similar tools).
