Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Design Engineer with extensive experience in architectural design, project execution, and advanced expertise in Revit. The role demands strong technical proficiency, a thorough understanding of architectural workflows, and the ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects from concept to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Architectural Design and Technical Leadership:
- Develop and oversee detailed architectural designs, ensuring functional, aesthetic, and sustainable outcomes.
- Produce, review, and refine technical drawings, 3D models, and BIM documentation using Revit.
- Create and implement Revit templates, family libraries, and parametric designs to improve project efficiency.
- Conduct design feasibility studies and propose solutions to complex architectural challenges.
- Lead the integration of architectural designs with structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
2. Revit and BIM Management:
- Oversee the development and management of BIM execution plans for projects.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve model conflicts in coordination with other disciplines using tools like Navisworks or similar.
- Maintain quality control of Revit models and ensure adherence to company BIM standards.
- Train and support team members in advanced Revit and BIM workflows.
- Manage data extraction and reporting from Revit models for schedules, quantities, and project analysis.
3. Code Compliance and Technical Documentation:
- Ensure that all designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Prepare technical specifications, construction documents, and regulatory submission packages.
- Conduct peer reviews of designs for technical accuracy and completeness.
4. Project Management:
- Manage end-to-end project workflows, including planning, design, documentation, and execution phases.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to deliver integrated project solutions.
- Prepare project schedules, resource plans, and cost estimates in collaboration with stakeholders.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:
- Act as the primary point of contact for client meetings, presentations, and approvals.
- Present design concepts, 3D visualizations, and technical solutions effectively to stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Technical Expertise:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
Experience:
- 10+ years of professional experience in architectural design, with a focus on large-scale or complex projects.
Technical Proficiency:
- Mandatory: Advanced expertise in Revit for 3D modeling, documentation, and parametric design.
- Familiarity with BIM collaboration tools like Navisworks, Dynamo, and BIM 360.
- Proficiency in supporting tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Enscape, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems as they relate to architectural integration.
Regulatory Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of local and international building codes, safety regulations, and green building standards (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
