Responsibilities:

• Leading the design and design development of multiple projects of various natures & typologies from concept and through the development stages.
• Interpreting clients’ briefs and to clearly understand key considerations, design drivers and client priorities.
• Leading a team of architects to produce creative, high quality and innovative designs, and to create a compelling product/presentation in terms of ideation, narrative, design quality and legibility.
• Achieving sound solutions that meet the project brief and requirements of multi-disciplinary teams and project stakeholders according to standards, codes, and best practices.
• To represent Dar and interface with clients and internal teams, through meetings, discussions, presentations, and to clearly present ideas and get feedback and directions.
• Working on developing the team skills and tools to ensure having a competition edge in terms of efficiency and market demand.
• Manage the time and resources of the team and firm to meet projects plan and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Min. 7 years of experience, with majority of this experience in architectural design field.
• 3-6 years of Experience in a lead designer role with proven record and strong portfolio.
• Design experience in variety of building typologies, scale and nature especially in: Mixed-use & hospitality projects.
• Work experience in multi-disciplinary environment is preferred.
• Experience in GCC or GCC projects with understanding of market, standards and local codes is preferred.

Skills:

• Excellent design skills and ability to initiate creative ideas and strong design narratives.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• A very good command & understanding of different design tools and its capabilities (such as: Revit, Sketchup, Rhino, Grasshopper, Lumion, Enscape, etc.) in addition to a very good understanding for parametric and computational design principals.
• Ability to lead and manage team of 10+ architects on multiple tasks with keen eye on time and quality.
• Understanding of project management basics in terms of stages, delivery, client review process.
