General Services Specialist is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations (Janitorial, security, pest control, etc..) of the company's Sites.
The Transportation Movement Control Specialist oversees and coordinates the movement of personnel, equipment, and supplies, ensuring that all logistical and transportation operations run smoothly and in compliance with safety standards and legal requirements.
Assist the General Services manager in planning, organizing, and coordinating functions relating to the operation.
- Monitor expenses and budget in line with General Services Manager.
- Provide recommendations and suggestions for improvements in any aspects relating to increased performance
- Train service staff & DCs staff, as necessary regarding safety & security matters, and ensure policies and procedures are followed
- Keep up to date with emergency situations in sites

Key Responsibilities
- Transportation Planning & Coordination
- Schedule and manage the movement of personnel and cargo between different locations.
- Ensure optimal route planning to reduce transit time and costs
- Receive and document reports of disputes or conflicts related to transportation services, escalating them to HR and the Manufacturing General Services Manager for resolution.
- Oversee daily bus seating and capacity management, gather feedback from users, and provide regular reports on seating arrangements and capacity utilization.
- Tracking and Monitoring
- Track and monitor the progress of personnel transport, and vehicle movements to ensure timely arrivals
- Manage daily operations related to employee transportation usage, ensuring all activities and updates are accurately tracked and monitored.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all transportation activities.
- Use tracking software to maintain real-time awareness of transportation operations.
- Safety and Compliance
- Ensure that all transportation activities comply with company policies, safety protocols, and local/international regulations.
- Monitor the maintenance and inspection of vehicles and transportation equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
- Enforce safety regulations for drivers and operators, adherence to road and transport safety guidelines.
- Report any deviations or misconduct by drivers, escalating such incidents to the Manufacturing General Services Manager for appropriate action.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance, fuel management, and driver assignments.
- Oversee the efficient use of resources to minimize costs and ensure that transportation operations are conducted within budgetary limits.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and manage all documentation related to transportation, including transportation logs, and compliance reports
- Maintain accurate and updated records of personnel movements, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on transportation activities and performance metrics.
- Problem Resolution
- Handle any transportation-related daily issues that may arise, such as delays, accidents, or equipment malfunctions.
- Analyze incidents and identify corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.2-3 years of experience in transportation management or movement control.Experience in managing transportation, with knowledge of routing, scheduling.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.knowledge in transportation management software and GPS tracking systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with team members and drivers.Problem-solving abilities with a focus on resolving transportation issues and minimizing delays.
