Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger in the Oracle ERP system.
- Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the correct accounts and periods.
- Review journal entries for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements).
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Month-End/Year-End Close:
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation and posting of necessary adjustments and accruals.
- Ensure compliance with deadlines and reporting requirements.
Reconciliations:
- Perform and review reconciliations of key accounts such as cash, intercompany, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
Compliance and Audit Support:
- Ensure adherence to IFRS/GAAP and internal company policies.
- Support external and internal audits by preparing requested schedules and documentation.
Variance Analysis:
- Analyze variances between actual and budgeted financial data.
- Prepare detailed reports for management to explain differences and provide recommendations.
Oracle ERP System Management:
- Ensure optimal use of Oracle’s accounting modules, including troubleshooting issues and coordinating with IT teams for system updates.
- Train team members on Oracle functionalities to improve efficiency.
Job Requirements:Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).5–8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or senior accounting role.Proficiency in Oracle ERP System (especially the Financial and General Ledger modules).Technical Skills:Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and accounting principles.Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).Experience in financial statement preparation, budgeting, and variance analysis.Key Competencies:Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Strong organizational and leadership abilities.Effective communication skills for reporting to management and collaborating across departments.Other Requirements:Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Familiarity with internal control frameworks and best practices.
