Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Interior Architect to lead chalet makeover projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces, creating 3D models to help clients visualize the proposed designs, selecting appropriate materials, and managing supplier relationships. The role also requires ability to travel to the North Coast to oversee project progress once a month.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Concept Development:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, needs, and preferences for the chalet makeover.
- Develop creative and functional design concepts aligned with the client's requirements.
- Prepare detailed layouts, mood boards, and concept presentations.
3D Modeling and Visualization:
- Create high-quality 3D models and renderings to visualize designs before implementation.
- Revise designs based on client feedback to ensure satisfaction.
Material Selection and Supplier Coordination:
- Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, and furniture to match design goals and budget.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality materials and furnishings.
- Coordinate with suppliers for orders, deliveries, and custom pieces.
Project Management:
- Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure efficient execution.
- Conduct site visits to the North Coast once a month to supervise progress and address any on-site challenges.
- Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to ensure design integrity.
Client Interaction:
- Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the project.
- Provide updates and ensure their vision is reflected in the final outcome.
Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning and new constructions)Expertise in layout, colour, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture and all installations.Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other design programsExcellent portfolio of previous worksCreative talent, imagination and eye for designCommunication and presentation skillsProject management skillsBS degree in Interior Design or similar
