Mechanical Technical Office Manager

  • Preparation and updating of all commissioning related forms/documentation.
  • Developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving Mechanical design plans and work schedules.
  • Liaising with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
  • Establishing relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, other professionals, and expanding networks.
  • Maintaining and improving existing engineering processes.
  • Participating in conference, events, and networking and learning opportunities.
  • Drawing up budgets, schedules, company regulations, and various other documents.
  • Analyzing existing processes and scheduling meetings to discuss improvement initiatives.
  • Conducting research, performing diagnostics, and troubleshooting for faulty equipment.
  • Ensuring a safe, positive work environment.
  • Preparing progress schedule for the works being done.
  • Preparing and reviewing Operation and maintenance manuals and Training manuals as per client`s guidelines.
  • Preparing Asset registers as per client`s guidelines.
  • Establish schedules for O&M submittals, O&M training schedules and the final handover documentation submittals required from each Sub-contractor.
  • Prepare and review the testing and commissioning method statements or commissioning procedure as per the manufacturer recommendations and international standards.
  • Review the design drawings and highlight commission-ability / design issues to design team.
  • Review the test procedural statements for the MEP systems to be commissioned.
  • Prepare the progress report as per the site activity and highlight the issues effecting the commissioning process.
  • Prepare the takeoff, BOQ and analyze the tender scope of work to prepare a compliance statement to the project specifications and RFQ documents.
  • Supervise, manage and train a group of engineers and ensure their technical development goals are being met.
  • Monitor the work progress, quality of the work and make sure the deliverables are being issued following the agreed upon submission schedules

The requirements listed below are the knowledge, skills and abilities required to hold and perform this position:A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. (Perferable AUC, GUC, Cairo, Ain Shams, Helwan universities)10 or more years commercial projects experience.Extensive practical experience.Additional license or certification may be required.Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.Practical experience with CAD software.Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.Excellent motivational skills and multitasking abilities.Administrative software: MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPointExperienced in managing and reading Mechanical drawings.
