- Assess competencies of all categories of staff within the nursing department.
- Deliver competence based programs for nursing staff with a focus upon improvement of skills and retention of knowledge.
- Take part in performance appraisal with the Head Nurse of the respective unit.
- Follow up on clinical performance in units and floors.
- Conducts needs assessments using a variety of strategic tools.
- Assists learners in the assessment of needs and identification of outcomes.
- Coordinate orientation of new staff to the organization.
- Provide expert advice to nurses on professional conduct and clinical practice.
- Identify and evaluate instructional materials in all types of media and formats.
- Plan, prepare and maintain materials for use in educational programs for accuracy and relevance to the target audience.
- Adjust content and teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs.
Bachelor's degree of Nursing required; master's degree preferred.Have the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with all departments.Liaise and coordinate service and plans with CNO on a daily basis.Submit daily report to the CNO.
