Job Duties
- Oversee and manage all Quality Control (QC) activities, providing support to QC Technicians as needed.
- Develop, revise, and submit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for approval when necessary.
- Conduct and supervise testing of SASO samples as outlined in specified monthly reports.
- Perform and monitor testing for Stability, Returned Finished Goods, Colors, Catalogues, Colorants, Finished Goods, Raw Materials (RMs), Packaging, and Samples for all company departments.
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and operational condition of laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Finalize daily test reports for finished products, authorize batch tickets, and promptly communicate results to production, while assisting with troubleshooting quality-related issues.
- Address and investigate customer and supplier complaints, including verification, testing, and reporting.
- Prioritize testing activities in the quality control laboratory based on urgency and importance.
- Select and manage Standard (STD) samples by batch number to ensure consistency and verify that test results meet required specifications.
- Engage in continuous cost reduction initiatives, including optimizing electricity and water use, managing leftover samples, and minimizing packaging waste.
- Coordinate and support both internal and external audits, ensuring the implementation of corrective and preventive actions as recommended.
- Adhere to laboratory safety rules and instructions, maintaining cleanliness and proper upkeep of the workspace and equipment.
- Document all laboratory activities and prepare regular reports.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in chemical engineering/ Chemist.Experience3-5 years of experience in paints industry.
