Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Manager to join our team at a well-established K-12 educational publishing house. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the purchasing of goods and services, ensuring that the company obtains quality products at competitive prices while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best deals for products and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production and sales teams to forecast and plan for future procurement needs.
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing suppliers while identifying potential new suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Review and analyze all vendors and supplier contracts to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, including purchasing orders, contracts, and invoices.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and new products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the publishing or education industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of contract management and legal aspects of procurement.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
