Logistics Specialist

  • Coordinate with in-house sales team to promote accurate and timely processing of orders for customers
  • Provide assistance for maintaining logistics planning tasks
  • Scan orders into computer and track shipments across multiple channels
  • Approve time sheets associated with deliveries and pick-ups
  • Support with maintenance of logistics policies, procedures, support plans and similar data.
  • Manage and monitor the performance of entire fleet, routing and scheduling planning
  • Analyzing business operations and identifying customer needs in order to bring the two closer together
  • Tracking and analyzing important reports. Examples of such reports are budgets, operation activity and department metrics
  • Once the Operations Specialist has decided on the most beneficial course of action, they must decide the role that each different company department must play
  • Determine trends and variances and identify areas in which positive changes can be made.

Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business (preferred)Prior Work Experience:3+ years previous experience in logistics management Language Proficiency: Skills & Abilities:Proficiency in Microsoft Office programsWorking knowledge of PC computer systems and cargo management software preferredGreat interpersonal skillsWell-developed motivational and leadership skills
