Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Engineer at Gila AlTawakol Electric in Cairo, Egypt. The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects, managing project budgets, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring project completion within deadlines.

Duties:

• Participate in the technical tender reviews.
• Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
• Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans
• Manage the take-over of the Project Engineering from the tender team.
• Review the technical contractual requirements and analyze the standards and
• Specifications and prepare a detailed engineering execution strategy.
• Ensure the fulfillment of the technical contractual requirements, including the project
• Requirements for standards and specifications, documentation considering commitments to the Customer, site and the Partners, etc.
• Ensure timely response on technical issues internally as well as to the Customer or his
• Representative. Compile open issues and maintain comment list accordingly.
• Release and approve the engineering documents.
• Ensure proper roll-out and application of EPC and Engineering Tools.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering.
• +3 years of experience in low Voltage substation, industrial project.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Good knowledge of Engineering and Project management tools.
