Role Description
We are looking for an EPC/PS Engineer.
For a multinational company, the EPC engineer is part of the MS team that will manage and operate the Evolved Packet Core network by performing all 2nd level operations activities.
Key Responsibilities
Second Line MS engineer responsible for EPC & PS domains.
Responsible for project support integration & new nodes’ acceptance.
Providing technical solutions regarding hardware and configuration problems in the agreed time frame.
Ensuring fast response, accurate actions, and decisions during a crisis.
Handling CSRs with customer support team E2E.
Ensuring reliable accurate solutions provided by support.
Responsible for verifying new solutions from the post-planning team.
Reviewing new projects’ documentation (HLD, LLD ATP..)
Verify test cases and ensure their applicability according to the network's current setup scenarios.
Migrating new services and nodes to live networks while avoiding incidents or major issues.
Leading major cases troubleshooting with other domains (ex. IMS).
Periodic auditing on license-controlled nodes to raise flags in case of traffic profile changes
Requirements
Graduated from Communication Engineering.
5-10 years of experience in the Packet core and EPC field.
Strong 3gpp knowledge with 3G/4G Packet Core nodes SGSN, GGSN, MME, SGW, PGW, DNS,… and their call flows.
Hands-on experience on Ericsson Packet Core Equipment (EPGs, SAPC, IPWORKs, EOCM,…)
Good knowledge of Linux/Unix systems: Redhat,…
Good knowledge of cloud computing and virtualization concepts.
Good knowledge of Network protocols: routing protocols, switching protocols,…
Good command of English (writing & speaking).
Experience in using Microsoft tools (Excel, Word & Outlook).
Be able to work morning and noon shifts in addition to night activities.
Any programming language is a plus, preferably Python
