Financial Reporting Officer/ Senior Officer

  • Assists in preparation accurate and timely separate and consolidated financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
  • Handle and confirm month-end and year-end close process
  • Summarizes and analyse all of the subsidiaries financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance to group accounting methodology.
  • Participate in preparation of investment portfolio revaluation pack of ADIB subsidiaries to ensure that all accounts reflect the fair situation of the group investment.
  • Assist in preparation of BOD packs as well as peer analysis presentation.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly variance analysis and follow up on rectification of errors and deviations detected, with full analysis of performance of major business units (i.e. credit, deposits and treasury).
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation for financing portfolio and calculating provision charges and losses for booking and delivering to FP&A.
  • Secures financial information by completing database backups.
  • Assist with special projects assigned by management.
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Assist with annually external audit and CBE examination. Complete requested materials. Assist in preparing assigned schedules for the annual and interim audit


Academic and professional qualifications:

BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant.


Experience and other requirements:

The required years of experience are 1:3 years.

The required years of experience are 3:5 years based on similarity of position, business and filed (Senior Officer)

With no Maximum years of experience as the job holder should reach proper level of technical and Managerial skills prior to move up


Job Specific Skills:

Familiarity with financial accounting statements

Fundamental knowledge in accounting principles and practices and standards according to CBE rules and regulations, EG GAAP and IFRS.

Fundamental knowledge in banking practices and related laws and regulations.

Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
