The Preschool Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children aged .
This role involves managing staff, developing educational programs, and maintaining compliance with licensing regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Supervise and support preschool staff, including teachers and assistants.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing professional development.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
Curriculum Development:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities.
- Assess and adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs of children.
- Encourage parental involvement in educational activities.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure the preschool meets all local and state licensing requirements.
- Maintain accurate records for child enrollment, attendance, and assessments.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement health and safety protocols.
Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, addressing concerns and providing updates on their child’s progress.
- Organize and lead parent-teacher meetings and community events.
- Collaborate with local organizations and resources to enhance educational offerings.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage the preschool budget, including tuition and funding proposals.
- Oversee purchasing of supplies and materials within budgetary constraints.
- Monitor enrollment and develop strategies for recruitment and retention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Previous experience in early childhood education, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Working Conditions:
