Landscape Design Manager

Responsible for implementing the annual Development targets and the strategic agenda of the Urban Design and Master planning function to deliver shareholders vision and mission & Managing Master Plan and landscape design process and qualifies, appoints, and directs a qualified design consultant through the Pre-Concept, Concept, Scheme, and Detailed Design stages including full design of every part and component of the project by a collaboration of all concerned parties and within time and budget constraints.

  • Managing consultants and ensure deliverables are in accordance with scope, schedule and budget complied with quality assurance procedure and consistent with the high standards.
  • Reviewing and studying detailed project design ensuring that the required technical details are obtained from the relevant disciplines to clarify technical aspects and materials used in the project and provide inputs to contribute towards cost planning.
  • Coordinating landscape designs with the different disciplines.
  • Selecting appropriate Hardscape materials, soundscape, lighting and site furniture.
  • Making sure that the design is always within the agreed budget, running value engineering exercise with respect to the design concept.
  • Inspecting project development work to ensure that it adheres to original plans.
  • Preparing RFP, Scope of work and consultants’ evaluation for the new developments.
  • Supervising and evaluating employees’ performance with continuous feedback on their assigned targets and provide development opportunities to maximize the potential and engagement of employees through mentoring, coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Participating in preparing technical material submittals.
  • Following up the implementation of any necessary changes to the designs or drawings.
  • Maintaining organized and detailed project records.
  • Making on site visits to check on project status and report on different projects.
  • Undertakes any task / duty as requested by the senior design & development manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Landscape and Urban Design/Planning
  • 10+ years of experience in Landscape design from concept and preliminary stages to construction documentation.
  • Communication skills - Analytical skills.
