We are hiring a technical office manager for the construction department in New Cairo:
oversees all technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring that all engineering and architectural requirements are met. With extensive experience in construction (not less than 4 years), the role involves managing technical documentation, coordinating between various departments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation, organization, and maintenance of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, including site engineers and construction workers.
- Ensure adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure compliance with design and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and technical requirements.
- Monitor project progress and address any technical issues that may arise to keep the project on track.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets, including cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Review and approve technical and material costs, ensuring alignment with the project budget.
- Act as the primary liaison between technical teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure clear and effective communication.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and implement design changes.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and building codes.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for permits and approvals.
- Lead and mentor a team of technical staff, including engineers and draftsmen.
- Provide training and support to team members to enhance their technical skills and performance.
Prepare and present technical reports, including progress reports, design changes, and technical assessments, to senior management and stakeholders. - Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on the project.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best construction practices.
- Implement improvements and innovations in technical processes and practices.
Qualifications:From 5 to 7 years of experience, managing construction projects, ensuring smooth coordination between design, engineering, and on-site teams.Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.Proficiency in technical software (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM, MS Project).Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Effective communication and coordination skills.Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) are advantageousbachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.Additional Qualifications:Experience in BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows and collaboration.Familiarity with construction project scheduling tools like Primavera or MS Project.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
