We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Accountant with a minimum of five years in the construction industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling project costs, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the project team in optimizing budget management. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Track and monitor project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.

• Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions to stay within budget constraints.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and cost estimates during the planning phase.
• Update project budgets based on actual costs incurred and anticipated future expenses.
• Prepare regular financial reports, including cost-to-complete, cash flow forecasts, and budget variance analysis.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information to project managers and senior management.
• Develop and implement cost control procedures to improve financial efficiency.
• Review and validate all cost-related documents, including purchase orders, invoices, and subcontractor payments.
• Evaluate the financial impact of change orders, variations, and scope changes.
• Work closely with the project team to ensure changes are properly documented and reflected in the project budget.
• Review contracts and agreements to ensure cost-related terms and conditions are met.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and industry standards.
• Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of cost accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
• Investigate discrepancies and take corrective actions to resolve any accounting issues.
• Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to manage project costs effectively.
