Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ISO Consultant with in-depth expertise in ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management Systems) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems). The ideal candidate will guide organizations in the food industry through the implementation, management, and certification processes for these standards. This role requires a thorough understanding of food safety, quality management principles, and experience in working with diverse stakeholders to ensure compliance and continual improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the organization in implementing and maintaining ISO 22000 (Food Safety) and ISO 9001 (Quality Management) standards, from initial assessment to certification.
- Conduct comprehensive gap analyses of current food safety and quality management systems to identify areas requiring improvement in accordance with ISO 22000 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Develop, implement, and optimize food safety and quality management systems, ensuring alignment with ISO 22000 and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Provide targeted training to staff and management on ISO 22000 and ISO 9001 standards, internal auditing, food safety principles, and quality management practices.
- Conduct internal audits for both food safety and quality management systems, identifying non-conformities and recommending corrective actions to achieve and maintain compliance.
- Prepare and manage all ISO-related documentation, including food safety plans, HACCP systems, quality manuals, procedures, and records.
- Assist the organization in preparing for external audits and certification processes, ensuring readiness for ISO 22000 and ISO 9001 audits, and serve as the main contact for external auditors.
- Evaluate and implement risk-based thinking for food safety hazards (HACCP principles) and quality management risks, ensuring proactive measures are in place to mitigate potential issues.
- Support the organization in maintaining continuous improvement processes for food safety and quality, ensuring that standards are sustained post-certification and aligned with changing regulations.
Requirements and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- ISO 22000 Lead Auditor/Implementer and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor/Implementer certifications are essential.
- 5+ years of experience as an ISO Consultant or in a similar role, with extensive knowledge of ISO 22000 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Proven track record of successfully guiding food industry organizations through the ISO certification process.
- In-depth understanding of ISO 22000 for food safety management systems, including HACCP, food safety hazards, and critical control points (CCPs).
- Strong expertise in ISO 9001 quality management principles, with experience in improving product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
