Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Trade Desk Banker to facilitate trade operations and strengthen trade corridors between Africa, Saudi Arabia (KSA), the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Egypt. This role will involve managing trade finance solutions, building client relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Trade Finance Solutions: Provide tailored trade finance products and services to clients, including Structure deals.
  • Client Management: Develop and maintain relationships with clients and partners in Africa, KSA, UAE, and Egypt to promote trade opportunities.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in Trade between the specified regions.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with trade transactions, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including credit, compliance, and operations, to ensure smooth execution of trade transactions.
  • Advisory Role: Offer expert advice to clients on trade strategies and financing options to optimize their trade operations.
  • Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely processing of all trade documentation and agreements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and report on trade desk performance, providing insights for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Political Science or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 11+ years of experience in trade finance with a focus on international trade.
  • Strong understanding of trade regulations and compliance requirements in Egypt and the region.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant banking software and tools.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Knowledge of economic trends affecting trade in Africa, KSA, UAE, and Egypt.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
