Position: Mechanical Engineer (HVAC and Firefighting Systems)

Work Location: Cairo

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer with expertise in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and Firefighting systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and ensuring compliance of HVAC and firefighting systems with industry standards and regulations. This role requires technical proficiency, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively within project teams.

1. HVAC Systems Design and Implementation:

• Design and develop HVAC systems based on project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Perform load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork, and piping layout.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Coordinate with other engineering teams (electrical, structural, architectural) to ensure seamless system integration.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation and functionality of HVAC systems.
• Monitor and assess HVAC performance, troubleshooting issues as necessary.

1. Firefighting Systems Design and Installation:

• Develop fire protection systems, including sprinklers, hose reels, and fire suppression systems based on project requirements.
• Ensure all firefighting systems comply with local and international fire safety regulations and standards (e.g., NFPA, FM Global).
• Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of firefighting systems.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors for timely project completion.

1. Project Management:

• Participate in planning, execution, and delivery of HVAC and firefighting systems for various projects.
• Prepare project schedules, budgets, and timelines, ensuring projects are completed within scope.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and team members to manage project resources.
• Ensure quality control, safety, and environmental regulations are adhered to on-site.

1. Maintenance and Compliance:

• Develop preventive maintenance programs for HVAC and firefighting systems.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure system efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Stay updated with new industry trends, technologies, and regulations.

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. 5 to 7 years of experience in HVAC and firefighting system design, installation, and maintenance.
3. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HAP.
4. Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, local building codes).
5. Excellent project management and communication skills.
6. Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues on-site.
7. Experience working in commercial, industrial, and residential projects is preferred.
