We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for assisting with various accounting and financial tasks to support the smooth operation of our organisation's financial processes.
Job Specifications:
- Create Invoices (for suppliers and clients)
- Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying invoices, obtaining approvals, and issuing payments to vendors.
- Handle accounts receivable duties such as generating invoices, recording payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
- Assist with general ledger maintenance by recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Perform data entry tasks to accurately input financial information into accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documents.
- Provide support for financial reporting activities, including compiling data for budgeting, forecasting, and audits.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks assigned by management as needed.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.Previous experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an accounting clerk or similar role.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.Knowledge of basic accounting principles and regulations.NOTE: All candidates must be able to communicate fluently in English.
