Job Purpose:

Conducting tax planning and reviewing returns and income files. Additionally, identifying and mitigating potential tax risks and ensuring the completion and continuous monitoring of tax records for all companies. Working to reduce tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepares, reviews, and audits all tax returns accurately and submits all tax forms on time.
  • Oversees the accuracy of the tax returns submitted to the relevant authorities to avoid any tax violations that the companies in the sector may face, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and local tax laws.
  • Supervises the preparation of all tax documents on a legal basis and reviews all incoming tax data requests for all companies.
  • Selects alternative actions to improve the tax burden in accordance with local laws to ensure accurate tax payments.
  • Analyzes financial data to identify potential tax issues that may affect the tax obligations of all companies.
  • Coordinates with external auditors to plan and execute periodic audits and the year-end balance sheet, providing necessary reports and information to the auditors.
  • Prepares and reviews various tax returns and other tax documents for all sector companies.
  • Reviews invoices related to foreign transactions in terms of tax law, determining the level of compliance or exemption.
  • Calculates tax liabilities using tax codes, laws, and accounting principles specific to the industry.
  • Follows up on all legal matters, if any, related to the company's tax transactions when necessary, in coordination with the legal department.
  • Prepares and compiles the necessary tax documents to facilitate the proper handling of tax inspections regarding any tax risks and any periodic or potential tax audit.
  • Audits companies’ commercial profits tax and sales tax with the tax authority to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Reviews all invoices to determine whether they are exempt or subject to tax laws, to avoid any potential future tax issues.
  • Stays updated on legislative and regulatory developments in tax law, inform management and the tax team of the impact of these developments, and devises strategies to capitalize on changes in tax legislation.

Qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Experience:Minimum of 8 -10 years of experience in tax compliance and planning.Skills:Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in tax software and financial analysis tools.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Ability to communicate complex tax issues.Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to tax planning.
