Job Title: Academic Lead

Job Purpose:

The Academic Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all academic activities related to student assignments, training, and curriculum development. This role ensures that academic programs are delivered effectively and that educational standards are maintained and continually improved.

Key Responsibilities:


Assignment Cycle Management:

  • Student Induction: Organize and conduct student induction sessions to familiarize new students with the institute’s academic policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Assignment Criteria Development: Collaborate with faculty to develop clear and robust assignment criteria that align with program objectives and industry standards.
  • Submission Cycle Coordination: Establish and manage the timeline for assignment submissions, ensuring that students are aware of deadlines and submission processes.
  • Review and Grading Oversight: Monitor the review and grading process to ensure consistency, fairness, and adherence to academic standards. Provide guidance and support to faculty during this process.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Facilitate the provision of constructive feedback to students and work with faculty to identify areas for improvement in student submissions.


Training Induction & Quality Management:

  • Trainer Selection and Induction: Lead the process of selecting qualified trainers, including the evaluation of demo sessions. Provide induction training to new trainers on the institute’s academic standards and teaching methodologies.
  • Monitoring Session Quality: Regularly observe and assess training sessions to ensure they meet the institute’s quality standards. Provide feedback and support to trainers to enhance the learning experience.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement strategies for continuous improvement in training delivery, based on student feedback and academic outcomes.


Curriculum Development & Localization:

  • Material Development: Oversee the development and localization of academic materials, ensuring they are tailored to meet the specific needs of the program and are culturally relevant.
  • Activity Outcome Methodology: Design and implement methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness of program activities, ensuring that learning outcomes are met.
  • Case Studies and Question Banks: Develop and curate a library of case studies and a question bank to support teaching and assessment across the program.


Academic Support & Student Success:

  • Student Advising: Provide academic advising and support to students, helping them to navigate challenges and achieve their educational goals.
  • Academic Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze student performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Implement interventions as necessary to support student success.
  • Program Evaluation: Regularly evaluate academic programs to ensure they meet the institute’s objectives and industry standards. Propose and implement changes as needed.


Compliance and Accreditation:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all academic activities comply with relevant accreditation bodies, industry regulations, and institutional policies.
  • Accreditation Support: Assist in the preparation of documentation and evidence required for accreditation and re-accreditation processes.
