Job Overview:
The
Wood Works Expert will manage and oversee all woodwork details for Projects, ensuring effective coordination between internal teams and external wood contractors. This role will support the design team in wood selection, manage shop drawings, and maintain a seamless workflow to ensure timely and quality completion of woodwork installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- - Manage all aspects of woodwork for projects.
- - Coordinate internally with the the team and externally with wood contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Design Support: :- Assist the design team in selecting woodwork types, finishes, and materials.
- BOQ and Drawings Review:- Review and ensure the woodwork Bill of Quantities (BOQ), drawings, and material schedules are fully coordinated.
- Shop Drawing Development:*- Collaborate with the technical department to develop and review woodwork shop drawings.
- Main Point of Contact:*- Serve as the primary liaison between the team and wood contractors for all woodwork-related tasks and issues.
- Time Schedule Management:*- Review and monitor the woodwork project schedule, coordinating with the construction manager and contractors to ensure work progresses on time without delays.
- Coordination and Briefing:*- Manage communication with wood contractors, providing them with detailed project briefs and overseeing any changes that may arise during the project.
- Documentation and Finalization:*- Ensure contractors receive complete, final drawings and material presentations before fabrication begins.
- Sample Management:*- Request and manage the necessary wood samples for project approval and reference.
- Workshop Inspection: Inspect woodwork at the contractors workshop before site installation to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Site Installation Inspection:*- Oversee and inspect woodwork installation on-site, ensuring it aligns with the design and specifications.
- Snagging and Final Review:*- Prepare and manage the snag list after woodwork submission, ensuring all issues are addressed before final handover
