The Quality Control (QC) Section Head will oversee the daily operations of the quality control department, ensuring that all products and processes adhere to established quality standards. The role involves leading a team to identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues, developing testing protocols, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize quality and efficiency. This position is key to maintaining product excellence and compliance with industry standards at Methode Electronics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management:
  • Supervise and mentor the quality control team, providing direction, training, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the QC team and across departments.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and testing protocols.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure they meet established quality standards.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with quality requirements and identify areas for improvement.
• Problem-Solving & Improvement:
  • Lead root cause analysis for quality issues and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve product quality issues.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in both products and processes.
• Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain and analyze quality control metrics, providing detailed reports to senior management.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of quality control activities and compliance with industry regulations.
• Supplier Quality Management:
  • Collaborate with the procurement department to ensure suppliers meet required quality standards.
  • Lead supplier audits and manage quality concerns related to supplied materials.
• Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure that all quality control activities comply with ISO and other relevant standards.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards within the QC section.
