Desktop Support Technician

About the Role:

Join our team at Excis Compliance, where you’ll be supporting a leading global pharmaceutical company. As a Desktop Support Technician, you’ll be the first point of contact for IT issues, handling everything from hardware to software troubleshooting, both locally and remotely. This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of experience in Windows Desktop support who is ready to grow and tackle new challenges.


What You’ll Do:

  • Provide Support: Deliver prompt first/second-level support for customer IT issues during regular business hours.
  • Troubleshoot Issues: Resolve hardware, software, and network problems, documenting each step in ServiceNow.
  • Communicate: Keep customers updated on issue status and resolution progress.
  • Collaborate: Work with vendors on complex AV issues and engage supervisors to maintain consistent operations.
  • Manage Systems: Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows XP, 7, 8.1, 10, and other authorized applications, with basic Mac OS support.
  • Maintain Hardware: Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) preferred.
  • Experience: At least 18 months in IT support, with expertise in Windows 7-10, Active Directory, MS Office 365, and ServiceNow.
  • Skills: Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities, with excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Availability: Regular business hours, with some flexibility required for emergencies or special projects.
