Human Resources Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with line managers to stay abreast of current and future employee relations issues in order to improve employee relations and services within the Company.
  • Manage employee-related affairs (complaints, leaves, grievances, etc.) and the day-to-day HR operations to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures in addition to a smooth flow of HR processes.
  • Monitor the processing and maintenance of employee data (compensation and benefits, performance results, promotions, job titles, personal information, etc.) to ensure that all files are kept up to date and that the administration of services conforms to applicable legal requirements and the Company's HR policies and procedures.
  • Review the organizational structure and job roles in order to ensure role clarity within the company and ensure that the right roles, responsibilities, and resources are in place to support the business units’ functions.
  • Ensure the timely and effective implementation of the annual performance appraisal cycle (including the midyear reviews) and ensure the proper adoption of procedures and forms by evaluators as well as supervise the issuing of the Employment Confirmation Letters in order to guarantee alignment to the Performance Management System adopted at the company.
  • Work closely with the line manager to identify training needs using available resources (such as the performance appraisal results, career paths, communication with line managers, etc.) to ensure that training plans address the identified development areas.
  • Supervise the execution of training courses as well as monitor and assess the quality of trainers in addition to the benefit gained by the trainees so as to guarantee high-quality training programs that comply with training needs and support the development of employees’ skills and competencies.
  • Review manpower requirements and manage recruitment activities including screening, interviewing, and selection - in coordination with other line managers - to ensure that the right talent is recruited in line with the predefined manpower requirements.
  • Supersize the onboarding and inductions conducted by the Employee Service Officers, and follow up with the employees’ line managers on performance and development issues to ensure that the best talent is available to support the Company's operations.
  • Communicate HR policies to line managers, support in the review and improvement of same, and ensure the alignment of policies and procedures to adopted practices within the company to guarantee compliance to internal and external rules and regulations.
  • Manage the review and execution of HR policies pertaining to Separation, Grievance Handling, and Standards of Conduct, and recommend improvements while ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage grievances and separation cases (due to termination, resignation, etc.) in coordination with the concerned employee’s line manager, and supervise the issuance of all documents/ payments that ensure the employee receives his/ her end-of-service entitlements.
  • Advise line managers and employees on disciplinary actions arising from violations, poor performance, long-term absence, etc. to ensure they resolve problems and disputes as per the set


Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or any equivalent.
  • CIPD or SHRP or any equivalent qualification would be preferable.
  • 10 - 12 years of experience in Human Resources
