  • This position is responsible for thought leadership and domain expertise for a Geo Services VMWare department along with the direct management of a team of Services resources, resulting in the ability to deliver to the client a proven, repeatable, single Business Unit multi-product solution and/or cross Business Unit multi-product integration.


  • This position is also responsible for the performance of the Services business for assigned solutions within the country, by building a specialist services organization of required skills and scale to effectively meet the Services business financial objectives and customer satisfaction objectives through successful execution of customer engagements.


  • Accountable for the VMware Country departments overall performance; report Practice performance to the AVP of Services.


  • Work with the AVP of Services on the departments strategy and planning activities. Establish and oversee the departments processes and procedures.


  • Ensure quality and professionalism is monitored and measured within the department.


  • Business/Operational Leadership. Manages a department of significant scope and operational impact.


  • Fully accountable for meeting the strategic, and operating objectives of the department. Develops others by encouraging accountability and enforcing performance standards.


  • Ensures that group understands the need for, and importance of continuous learning, skill acquisition and consistent application. Makes, or reviews others' selection, disciplinary and termination.


  • Contributes to strategic and tactical business decisions that directly affect the department and affect the organization’s processes. May become involved in elevated issues arising from daily activities.


  • Resolves complex problems that arise in everyday work.


  • Contribute and implements policies and procedures for the department to meet broad, but specific goals and objectives of the function; modifies goals in response to organizational changes. Analyzes working methods to create improvements in processes and results.


  • Works with senior management in initiating project related work that impacts functional operations. Planning time horizon is typically short.


  • Providing Solution and industry best practice and content leadership during the opportunity life cycle. Participating and actively working with the department to provide needed feedback from the delivery teams, assisting in building out new content and contributing to solution leadership.


  • Providing input to the responsible AVP of Services where strategic changes or improvements to the delivery life cycle are needed. Provide information to be used in strategy planning when requested ranging from solution adoption or skills alignment in the relevant region.


  • Working with the Resourcing Team and Team Leads where needed to identify the appropriate skillsets or candidate . Works closely with global peers to develop a global cohesive strategy, process and procedures.


  • Demonstrated business acumen to lead a Geo department.Demonstrated ability to analyze IT business requirements, define/design appropriate IT solution, create detailed Time-to-Value phased execution scopes.


  • Demonstrate ability to engage in hands-on implementation of software technology at a complex level for single Business Unit multi-product solutions and/or cross Business Unit multi-product integrated solutions of chosen expertise. Proven comprehension of solutions capabilities and how the solution is designed to be integrated into the client environment.


  • Must possess advanced business & technology skills for products of chosen expertise and for complex integrated solutions. Ability to understand and communicate how solution(s) of chosen expertise resolve typical client business needs. Must execute impeccable business level of written and oral professional communication.


  • Develop strategic client relations with executive level client personnel. Lead and manage the Geo department portfolio of projects and the resources managing and delivering the projects. Manage client expectations. Respond to escalations at the executive management level. Support User Groups with guidance from Business Unit and Corporate Marketing


  • Senior SRE Project & Service Manager Experience in leading large consulting programs in an Enterprise environment. Solid skills in influencing, teaming, and delivering solutions in a highly complex environment. Generally, the role requires advanced experience with systems project or program management experience and the appropriate industry certification (PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent). A professional system engineering or system administration experience with infrastructure virtualization, cloud, and/or networking is highly desirable. Prior experience working with Atlassian Jira, Tempo, Portfolio, Change point, and/or Clarity Fluent in English language: speaking, reading, and writing. Preferable additional fluency in one of the following: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, or Arabic.
