Medical Billing Supervisor(Ex Hospitals outpatient and Inpatient)

Job Objectives: Billing accounting Supervisor- is responsible for supervising the recording of services rendered to patients and the issuing of invoices as well as directing his/her subordinates regarding the applications of insurance contracts terms and conditions.


Key Responsibilities

Planning & Monitoring Process

• Oversee the entire Billing Process (Inpatient & Cath Lab), including applying Andalusia billing policies & procedures, outgoing invoices, payment postings and outstanding payments from customers.

• Maintains billing operations in an efficient manner to maintain consistency.


Operational Excellence Process

• Ensures that the billing team is processing invoices in a timely and accurate manner on a daily basis.

• Ensures all billing procedures comply with both internal and external audit requirements to ensure that controls and segregation of duties are maintained.

• Ensures internal control is in compliance with corporate guidelines and policy.

• Reviews the invoices issued by his/her subordinates by matching the rendered services with the hospital price list and the issued invoices taking into considerations insurance contracts terms and conditions (if any) as well as if the patient is employed by Andalusia.

• Directs his/her subordinates regarding the applications of insurance contracts terms and conditions.

• Adjust the external lab, rad, consumables and blood bank inpatient billings and also review Invoice/Bill related to external Rad/Lab centers.

• Review and audit promissory note.

• Communicate with management on day-to-day issues.


Customer Satisfaction Process

• Resolves complex patient’s issues regarding invoices and also communicate with patients for cash payment.

• Maintains confidentiality of all patient information.

• Maintains a working knowledge of objectives established by upper levels of management and coaching the billing team to successfully attain those objects.


Innovation Process

• Work to identify billing problem areas and finding solutions.

• Seeks operational improvements aimed at improving service level performance while increasing cost effectiveness. Recommend departmental specific procedures and implements those that are approved


Requirements:

Education:

▪ Bachelor degree of Accounting or Finance.

Experience:

▪ +5 years of experience in the same position in reputable healthcare organization outpatient or inpatient.


Knowledge, skills and abilities:

▪ Good understanding of Accounting Principles.

▪ Good understanding of Revenue Cycle in healthcare organization.

▪ Excellent communication skills

▪ Excellent Negotiations Skills.

▪ Ability to maintain a professional manner.

▪ Capable of maintaining confidentiality of all material.

▪ Strong Attention-to-details capability. ls
