We are looking for a Data Analyst Lead / Manager. The candidate will oversee a team of data and business analysts and get their hands dirty diving deep in Egypt's largest job marketplace data on both Wuzzuf and Forasna. Our data is a gold mine which you will enjoy diving in to come up with insights, not just guiding our business but also public reports which will help decision makers on government levels better understand the job market trends in Egypt. With more than 7m users, 50k+ businesses, and millions of job applications, we have growing needs to analyze and understand our marketplace activities.
This individual will oversee a team of data analysts, ensuring they deliver high-quality insights and analyses that support strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is a seasoned data professional with a strong understanding of data analysis methodologies and a passion for turning raw data into actionable intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of data analysts, providing guidance, training, and support to foster their professional development.
- Assign tasks and projects, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery.
- Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Data Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify data requirements and define analysis objectives.
- Develop and implement data analysis strategies, using advanced statistical techniques and tools.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
- Prepare clear and concise data visualizations and reports to communicate findings effectively.
- Data Governance:
- Establish and maintain data quality standards and governance policies.
- Oversee data collection, storage, and management processes.
- Ensure data privacy and security compliance.
- Strategic Insights:
- Translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for data-driven innovation and process improvement.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop data-driven roadmaps and initiatives.
QualificationsBachelor's or Masters degree in Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.5-10 years of experience in data analysis, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).Experience working with large and complex datasets.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Experience leading and mentoring data analysis teams.Knowledge of data governance and compliance best practices.
