Job Overview:
Responsible for teaching English language and literature to DGE employees, the instructor will plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet curriculum standards and assess student progress to guide their academic development. The role involve teaching a various age groups and proficiency levels, depending on the setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in English languag.
- Develop course materials, assignments, and assessments that align with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Incorporate technology and digital resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Assess and evaluate trainees' performance through exams, quizzes, assignments, and classroom participation.
- Provide constructive feedback to trainees to help them improve their language skills and literary analysis.
- Monitor and track trainee’s progress, identifying areas for improvement and offering additional support when needed.
- Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
- Manage classroom behavior and address any issues or conflicts that arise.
- Encourage active participation and foster a collaborative learning atmosphere.
- Maintain accurate records of trainee’s attendance, grades, and performance.
Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, English Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).Experience: Previous teaching experience, especially in English language or literature, is preferred.Certification: State teaching certification (if applicable) or relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA) for language instruction roles.Skills:Strong knowledge of English grammar, composition, and literature.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Proficiency with educational technology and online learning platforms.
